Learning to fix your own bike
One of the goals of our regular Fix Your Ride sessions is to help people fix their own bikes. Some people choose to stay with us while we work on their bikes, and we will always explain what we have done when we hand the bike back to you. We are also happy to offer general maintenance tips, for instance how to fix a puncture.
Further afield in London, here are some resources to help you learn to fix your own bike:
- Broad Bikez on Whiston Road in Haggerston (TfL Cycleway 1) offer a do-it-yourself bike workshop, and maintenance classes, with a special emphasis on providing a friendly environment for women, girls, and LGBTQ+ people. (They have taken over the space formerly operated by London Bike Kitchen.)
- The Hackney Bike Workshop runs regularly at Hackney City Farm (TfL Cycleway 11.)
